When renovating a bathroom in a home we bought to flip, we discovered an area behind the door where a small child had colored on the wall. We later learned that child had passed and this “artwork” had made selling the home hard to do because of the sentimental meaning to the Sellers. Rather than painting over it, we cut the sheetrock out of the wall, had it framed and later surprised the Seller with this precious personal artifact that can move with them to future homes.

Although we didn’t own this property, we wanted to do our part to keep people from getting scammed.

After listing with another agent and not being able to sell during the height of the season, we recommended a few inexpensive cosmetic revisions, did some light staging, hired a professional photographer, recommended a new pricing strategy, launched a customized Coming Soon campaign, received multiple offers and negotiated a client who wasn’t quite mortgaged ready longed for a Lease Purchase opportunity in her home town vs just renting. Although there were none available, we convinced another agent investor to pivot her listing to a Rent to Own opportunity for our client.
